Our Employees

Employees are an important part of every business.

We have been fortunate to have found some top quality people to work with us over the years.   They understood and shared our goals and put in long hours to help achieve them.

After four years of being involved with the H2A program and bringing men in from South Africa, this year we have decided to go back to hiring US citizens.      The red tape and expense made it cost prohibitive this year, in our opinion.

INTERESTED IN WORKING WITH US??
If you want to see a lot of the countryside from the seat of truck and are able to be away from home for weeks at at time, give Jon a call (330.465.0002).

While on the road we stay in motels (2 in each room)  and eat at local restaurants.    We never ask an employee to do anything that we haven't done/do ourselves.  You should be aware that we are not on the road all summer..that there are times when we are home.  During those times, we expect our employees to work with us on other projects.   If you are not willing to get dirty doing manual labor, this is not the job for you.

ALI'S HEROS

blooddonors.jpg

This picture was taken on July 16, 2002.
Ryan Moore, Ali, Jim, Jon, Bob Lehman, Garth Adams, and Will Mengel had just returned from giving blood (note the tee shirts that they were given).

While these young men have gone on to other jobs, they will always have a special place in our hearts...and will always be Ali's heroes!

As a background to this picture:  Aug. 2000, our granddaughter Ali was critically ill in Cleveland Clinic and had to have 3 tranfusions.  When she received the third, the nurse commented that this was the last unit of her blood type they had available!  This really brought it home to us how very important it is to donate blood.  As you can see below, she didn't need any more blood and is a healthy active hockey playing 11 year old now...all because some anonymous person took their time to donate blood.

Our grandson, Jason was born prematurely and then contracted RSV.  He spent way too many days in ICU fighting for his life.    He also received transfusions of  blood.    He is now a healthy sports playing teenager, enjoying his freshman year in  High School.    He knows more about Ohio State football than I do, and has the kindest soul.

So, we know first hand how very very important that "gift of life" can be.

THANK YOU!!! to everyone who does this so that someone else can live!

This midi is a version of "Wind Beneath My Wings".  Chosen because I believe that none of us can do anything alone...we need the support of many other people..and we need to be there for them too.

Oh, oh, oh, oh -
It must have been cold there in my shadow,
To never have sunlight on your face.
You were content to let me shine, that's your way.
You always walked a step behind.

So i was the one with all the glory,
While you were the one with all the strain.
A beautiful face without a name for so long.
A beautiful smile to hide the pain.

Did you ever know that you're my hero,
And everything i would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
For you are the wind beneath my wings.

It might have appeared to go unnoticed,
But i've got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know i know the truth, of course i know it.
I would be nothing without you.

Did you ever know that you're my hero?
You're everything i wish i could be.
I could fly higher than an eagle,
For you are the wind beneath my wings.

Did i ever tell you you're my hero?
You're everything, everything i wish i could be.
Oh, and i, i could fly higher than an eagle,
For you are the wind beneath my wings,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

Oh, the wind beneath my wings.
You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings.
Fly, fly, fly away. you let me fly so high.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.

Fly, fly, fly high against the sky,
So high i almost touch the sky.
Thank you, thank you,
Thank god for you, the wind beneath my wings.
